What we do.

As a New Testament church, Jesus has prescribed what his people are to do.

His people are to gather regularly for the preaching and teaching of the word, for prayer, and to stir one another up towards love and good deeds. We exist to equip the people of God for the work he has prepared for them.

With that, you can expect to find weekly teaching from Scripture, worship through song that sets our eyes on the Lord, and a people gathered who desire to grow. Our ministry to kids, while maintaining age appropriate content, will seek the good of their souls, and not just entertain them to pass time. We recognize that God desires all people to grow in the knowledge, love, grace and mercy of God, and we strive to make that happen in everything we do, especially on a Sunday morning.

Outside of Sundays, we gather in small groups for the sake of growing in community through the study of Scripture, fellowship around meals, and lifting each other up in prayer. Our hope is that as we grow together, families would flourish, and the watching world would see the joy and love of God’s people.

While our primary goal is the leading others to salvation, and for Christians to grow in maturity in every facet of life, we also recognize the desperate physical needs of those around us. We aim to be a people who are sensitive to the needs of our community here in Baldwin, as well as the needs of our world outside of Baldwin. Whether that is Lawrence, KC, or beyond, we want to be a people who demonstrate the love of God in word AND deed. Join us as we pursue this vision God has for his church.
